Just sharing..
Back in mid-August we received an interesting order from Steven, as a matter of fact Steven ordered 4 engraved padlocks. The engraved messages on each padlock made it very clear of the intent how they were to be used. Steven planned to propose to his girlfriend, Lauren! Not only that; but it was a complete surprise and the proposal was going to take place in the beautiful city of Paris.
Steven’s plan was to pop the question in September while in Paris. He even planned ahead to hire a professional photographer to capture the moment, including the tossing of the keys in the Seine. Needless to say we were very excited to hear back from Steven after his return.
Of course, Lauren said YES!
Here are a couple of photos of the engraved padlocks before we shipped them out to Steven.
I offered Steven the opportunity to share his side of the story and here is what he was so graciously willing to share with us: “Thank you for letting us share our story. Lauren and I met almost 3 years ago and soon after settled into a deep loving relationship.
By February, it was clear to me that our lives together in wedded bliss was inevitable and that I would need a means to propose. Lauren and I are romantic by nature and
any proposal of ours would require the utmost poignancy and intimacy. So I designed an engagement ring that symbolized our story and planned to pop the question in Paris, a planned trip we both were looking forward to. I even had a professional photographer ready to capture the moment.
It was he that told us of the story of the Pont de l’Archeveche, one of a handful of bridges throughout the world where lovers place personalized, inscribed padlocks to ‘lock in’ their love. He further recommended to get the highest quality padlocks I could find to commemorate the moment.
Lauren was very eager to have our own inscribed locks placed on the bridge to immortalize our love. This fit perfectly into my plan. I just needed to find the right lock company. That’s when I came upon Lock-itz.com.
The website showed padlocks of quality craftsmanship with a great selection. Lauren and I then created locks that described our lasting love and ordered them.
As far as she knew the deed was done. But a few days later, I ordered a second pair with my proposal to her on one and her acceptance on the other. So on our first day in Paris with the sun shining and just a handful of people mulling about on a beautiful fall morning, we walked to Pont de l’Archeveche, found a suitable spot to place our locks and I handed her the proposal lock.
She eagerly and profoundly said ‘yes’. We then locked our locks together and threw our keys into the Seine. It was everything I hoped it would be, a beautiful moving experience that I will keep with me always. It was made all the more perfect by having your exquisite locks.
Regards,
Steven”
