Pop singer Selina Ren's wedding ceremony will be held on Monday, Oct. 31 in Taipei. Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou will attend the ceremony and be the chief witness.
Over 100 entertainment celebrities will attend the wedding. The other two members of the band Ella Chen and Hebe Tian will be Ren's bridesmaids together with Ren's little sister.
Oct 31 also marks Selina Ren's 30th birthday. Ren and her finace Richard Chang had planned to get married in April, however, the wedding date was changed after Ren was severely injured during an on-set accident last October, when an unexpected explosion occurred on set while filming the TV series "I Have a Date with Spring". Selina Ren and co-actor Yu Haoming were wounded in the accident.
Selina Jen (任家萱) and fiancé Richard Chang (张承中) will not share the same bed — even after they get married on October 31.
Her burn injuries are to blame.
Richard said her wounds still hurt and she can't be touched.
"I've slept at the door of her bedroom for a long time … there won't be much difference after we get married," he said.
Still, he said he would love to have babies one day.
The couple recently offered a signed wedding invitation for public bidding to raise funds for a non-profit organization dedicated to burn victims.
A female fan won the bid by donating NT$222,000 ($7,300).
While thanking the fan for her generosity, Richard denied he has sowed discord between Selina and her two SHE band mates.
"I have no reason to destroy their friendship. The public truly underestimates SHE," he said.
