60 people have enrolled in Aura Dating Pte Ltd, the first dating academy in Singapore, reported Sin Chew Daily.
The academy offers a programme coaching students on the art of dating and having a relationship.
Besides Singaporeans, others signing up for the year-long programme included those from Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Brunei, the United States and Canada.
Most of them are white-collar workers, aged between 19 and 36, earning between S$4,000 and S$8,000 a month.
Academy executive director David Tian, 35, said the programme fee was S$4,500, adding that overseas students could also register for its three-day intensive course costing S$3,400.
"Singaporeans like to flaunt their wealth but they neglect their appearance.
"Most of them also do not have a sense of humour, social skills and confidence to succeed in a relationship."
Tian, a dating and lifestyle consultant, is a Taiwanese who migrated to the United States.
