i saw this gown from pronovias 2011's collection fashion and thought it looked quite unusual... like a fusion of a bridal gown and a polo tee 

have you seen other unusual gown designs/unconventional gowns? (for e.g.... cosplay!)

I believe that for weddings, the couple should not be bound by any restrictions. Though there really are pieces you should stay away from but in general, the couple should be able to do what they want. That is their day to enjoy anyway, and if a majority does not agree to what you want, you can still push through and just wish them well.

You can go as simple as you want or even go over the top, no one would mind, really. Because at the end of the day, this is your celebration and those around are just mere guests you can even go on without.
