The Saturday’s singer Una Healy has revealed she is engaged to rugby player Ben Foden during a gig at Wembley Arena this week. The happy news was announced by the pregnant singer’s band mate, Rochelle Wiseman, live on stage.
30-year-old Irish singer Una Healy has been dating England rugby star, Ben, since 2008 after his agents got in touch with the girl band member and asked her for a date on behalf of the sportsman. The couple have been together since then, and recently announced that they are to become parents for the first time in March of next year as Una is expecting a baby girl.
After The Saturday’s singer, Rochelle, revealed the news of Una’s engagement to fans at the Wembley concert, the flame haired singer admitted to shedding a tear, as all of the Saturday girls got together for a group hug while the audience gave a big cheer. The singer from Tipperary was seen sporting a solitaire diamond engagement ring during the performance.
Una later Tweeted that she was “very happy” after the gig, however the girl group member says she’s in no rush to make it down the aisle, adding that she wants her big day to be “special” and not “hurried.”
The Saturday’s are currently in the middle of their UK tour and have been playing dates up and down the country, however the bride-to-be is planning to take it slowly in the coming months as she prepares for the birth of her baby girl in the spring.
