Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez found themselves in the midst of wedding rumors this week when the young star was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger Wednesday afternoon.
The web began buzzing in wonder if the 17-year-old Bieber popped the question to his beautiful girlfriend. “She is not engaged,” a rep for Gomez tells Us Weekly.
While Bieber plans on walking down the aisle some day, he recently told Women’s Wear Daily that he is still a little ways from taking that plunge. “If the time is right, I definitely want to be married by 25,” he told them in September. ”[But] I’m not looking to get married now.”
Besides, planning a wedding is the last thing on Bieber’s mind after dealing an on-going battle with fan, Mariah Yeater, who claims the singer is the father of her 4-month-old baby. After Bieber complied by taking a paternity test that showed he was not the father, Yeater asked for a second test to be done.
This week, Bieber and Gomez, coincidentally, are attending a wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where Gomez is a bridesmade. According to TMZ, Gomez is also planning on singing during the wedding.
