Talk about Spain, many people will think about the words “passion”, “enthusiasm”. Not only the Spanish people are hot, but also their weather. In Spain, there are 320 days of sunshine a year on average and it is certainly less fear that rain will spoil your special day. How about having a “hot” wedding in Spain? Let’s get to know some traditions of Spanish weddings.

Spanish wedding ceremony is incomplete without the traditional dance named sequidillas manchegas by couples and guests. It is also common practice to have a live band perform on the wedding.

One important part of Spanish wedding traditions is choosing the wedding flowers. While many brides tend to choose white flowers, the brides in Spain prefer orange blossoms for decoration. The orange blossoms which symbolize fertility have marvelous fragrance and they also represent joy and happiness of the couple.

One Spanish tradition that has kept is the love token of thirteen coins from the groom to the bride. The coins, usually put in a special bag, box or tray, symbolize the groom’s commitment to his new bride and his vow to support her. The bride carries the coins which are then blessed by the minister during the ceremony. Afterwards, the coins are kept as part of the family’s heritage.

These are the brief introductions of the Spanish wedding traditions. They are hot and enthusiasm. Do you want to have an experience like that?
