Yesterday, a report suggested that Anne Hathaway was sending out 'save the date' cards to friends and family because a wedding date had been set with her new fiancé Adam Shulman. Although the couple look happy and eager to spend the rest of their lives together, the report is false according to a representative for Bride Wars.
The report released today by Us Magazine explains that Hathaway and Shulman have not set a date for their wedding and they have not contacted any guests about the wedding itself. The report yesterday claimed that the grand wedding would take place in the New York City area, but a representative for Bride Wars bashes all of these rumors. The rumor that a date has been set is simply false!
So why is Anne Hathaway not setting a date? "I am very much in love with him," she told Marie Claire U.K. It turns out that Shulman came along and swooped her off her feet as she was planning to spend some time alone after her break up with Raffaello Follieri. "I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time and then I fell in love like a fool," Anne shared.
Because everything happened to fast with Shulman, Anne may be spending some time being engaged to Adam. She didn't have that alone time she was looking forward to, so perhaps she wants to stay engaged for a while so the wedding is not rushed.
